Terms of use

In short
- Free to use anywhere, for personal or commercial work, with no account and no licence fee.
- Results are indicators, not manufacturer specifications. Confirm with the maker's own software before a warranty claim or a purchase.
- A button reading zero may be a broken switch — or a button your mouse simply does not have.
- Governed by the law of India for disputes only. It does not restrict who may use the site.
By using Mouse Tester Online you accept these terms. They are deliberately short, because the site does very little on your behalf: it runs tests in your browser and shows you the result.
Using the site
The tools are free to use, from anywhere, with no account and no licence fee, for personal or commercial purposes — including checking mice you sell, repair or support. You do not need permission to link to any page here.
What you may not do is interfere with the site or the people using it: no attempts to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it, and no scraping that degrades it for others.
What the results mean, and what they do not
This is the part worth reading. The measurements here are indicators, not manufacturer specifications, and the limits are real:
- A browser cannot read your mouse's USB polling rate directly. The figure shown is the report rate your browser received, which your operating system, your browser and background load can all cap.
- The flag for a double-firing switch uses a 40 ms threshold. That is a heuristic drawn from how switches behave, not a defined standard, so the measured interval is always shown alongside it.
- A button reading zero may mean a broken button, or simply a mouse or touchpad that does not have that button.
Do not treat a result here as proof of a hardware fault for a warranty claim, a return, or a purchase decision without confirming it another way — with the manufacturer's own software, or on a second computer.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. No promise is made that it will be available without interruption, that it is free of errors, or that a result is accurate for your particular hardware and browser. To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from using the site or relying on a result — including any decision to repair, replace or discard hardware.
Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
Content
The text, code and illustrations on this site belong to its operator. You are welcome to quote a passage with a link back. Republishing pages wholesale, or presenting the tools as your own, is not permitted.
Links to other sites are provided for reference only and are not endorsements of what they contain.
Changes and governing law
These terms may change as the site does; the date at the top shows when they last did. They are governed by the laws of India, and disputes fall to the courts there. This does not affect mandatory consumer protections in your own country, and it does not restrict who may use the site — it is open worldwide.
